I get where you’re coming from—water and floss are hard to beat. I’ve seen so many people come in convinced that fancy sprays or mints would solve everything, but honestly, nothing beats good old-fashioned basics. Have you ever noticed if certain foods make it worse after coffee? Garlic or onions seem to stick around no matter what for me...

Garlic and onions are like the final boss of bad breath—no matter what I do, they always win. Coffee’s rough too, but at least gum sometimes helps a bit with that. I tried one of those “super-mint” gums after eating shawarma and honestly, it just made my breath smell like a confused salad. Water and floss do more than any of the fancy stuff for me too... but I keep buying new gums anyway, just in case one finally works.

I totally get the “confused salad” thing—sometimes those super-strong gums just mash all the smells together instead of helping. I honestly get a little anxious about breath after eating anything garlicky, like, is everyone noticing? I’ve read that nothing really beats brushing and flossing, but I still keep gum in my bag because you never know. Has anyone actually found a gum that does more than just mask it for five minutes? Sometimes I wonder if we’re all just chasing a unicorn here...

I hear you on the garlicky breath—sometimes I feel like I could clear a room after pasta night. Tried every gum out there over the years, but honestly, most just give me minty garlic for a few minutes. The only thing that’s helped a bit longer is those gums with xylitol, but even then, it’s no miracle. I keep a travel toothbrush in my purse now… not glamorous, but at least I know it works.

Totally get where you’re coming from—garlic breath is brutal. I’ve tried those super-strong cinnamon gums, thinking maybe spicy would work better than mint, but honestly, it just made my mouth feel like a fireball and didn’t do much for the smell. Swishing with water right after eating helps a bit, but yeah, nothing beats actually brushing. I keep those little disposable brush things in my glove box for emergencies... not the fanciest solution, but desperate times, right?
