Dealing with those sneaky in-between tooth cavities

Water flossers still freak me out a bit. I’m convinced I’ll end up spraying the walls more than my mouth, but maybe that’s just me overthinking it.

I totally relate - first time I used a water flosser, I accidentally hosed down my mirror and half the counter. Honestly though, after a few tries, it got way less chaotic. It’s not just you! Those little brushes are tricky too... I’ve snapped more than a few. But hey, you’re sticking with it, and that’s what counts. The guilt/anxiety combo is real, but you’re definitely not alone in the struggle.

Haha, I remember the first time I tried a water flosser - I swear I ended up wearing half of the water instead of actually cleaning my teeth. It’s like, how does anyone make it look so easy in those ads? I will say, after a while, I got the hang of it and now it's way less messy, but yeah, there’s definitely a learning curve. Those little brushes are a whole other struggle... I feel like they snap if you even look at them wrong. But hey, anything to avoid those sneaky in-between cavities, right? It’s a pain, but it does help in the long run.

Yeah, those water flossers are wild at first - felt like I was pressure washing my face instead of my teeth. Did you try adjusting the settings? Lower pressure made it way less chaotic for me. The little brushes snapping is real though... ever find one that doesn’t break instantly?

Man, I totally get what you mean about the water flosser. First time I used one, I aimed it the wrong way and ended up spraying the mirror more than my braces. As for those tiny brushes - ugh. I’ve snapped so many trying to get around my wires. The only ones that lasted more than a week for me were the ones with the thicker handles, but they’re not exactly comfy. Still beats getting another sneaky cavity in those weird spots though...

I hear you on those tiny brushes snapping - been there, done that, and honestly got tired of buying new packs every month. But I actually found regular floss (the waxed kind) works better for me, even with braces. It’s a pain at first, but once I got the hang of threading it around the wires with one of those cheap plastic threaders, it wasn’t so bad. Plus, way cheaper in the long run. Water flossers are cool and all, but my wallet just can’t keep up with all these gadgets.
