Budget-Friendly Dentures: DIY Kits or Dental Schools?

I've been looking into getting dentures without breaking the bank, and two options keep popping up - those DIY denture kits you can order online, and going to a dental school where students do the work supervised by pros. DIY kits seem convenient and cheap, but I'm kinda nervous about messing it up myself, you know? Dental schools sound safer but maybe more hassle with appointments and stuff. Has anyone tried either of these routes, and how did it turn out for you?

Yeah, I totally get that. Tried one of those DIY kits once... let's just say my bathroom looked like a mad scientist's lab, and the results weren't exactly smile-worthy. Dental school route was slower but way less stressful overall.
