Dryness can definitely be a pain, especially on flights. Have you tried any denture-specific moisturizing gels or sprays? Curious if anyone finds those more effective than regular mints or sipping water...

Yeah, dryness on planes is the worst... I've tried those denture-specific gels before, and honestly, they do make a noticeable difference compared to just sipping water. Regular mints help temporarily, but gels seem to coat and moisturize better and last longer. Might feel a bit weird at first, but once you get used to it, it's pretty comfortable. Worth giving a shot if you haven't yet—could save you from awkwardly sipping water every five minutes during your flight.

Totally agree about the gels—they've been a lifesaver for my son on flights. One extra tip we've found helpful is applying the gel about 15-20 minutes before boarding. It gives it time to settle and coat properly, so he's comfortable right from takeoff. Also, keeping a small travel-sized spray bottle filled with water handy can help refresh the mouth occasionally without constant sipping. Might seem odd at first, but it's discreet enough and really helps manage dryness between gel applications.

The spray bottle trick sounds clever, though I've personally found it a bit awkward to manage discreetly on planes...especially in tight seats or when turbulence hits. I've had better luck with sugar-free lozenges—they're subtle and keep dryness manageable without fussing with sprays or gels.

I've tried the spray bottle thing too, and yeah, turbulence plus tiny airplane bathrooms—not exactly a winning combo, lol. Lozenges are decent, but just watch out for ones with citric acid...they can irritate gums if you're sensitive. Learned that the hard way!
