Mint gum usually helps me too, but I recently tried cinnamon after reading about it somewhere else. At first, the spicy taste was a bit intense (almost too much for me!), but after a few minutes, I noticed it really did distract me from wanting sweets. Not sure if it's just psychological or what...but it seems to help. Might stick with it for a while and see how it goes.

Haha, I totally get you on the cinnamon thing—first time I tried it, I thought my mouth was on fire. But hey, if it works, it works. Now I'm curious though, does anyone find certain gum flavors actually make them crave sweets more? Like fruity gums always seem to backfire on me...or maybe that's just my sweet tooth talking.

I've noticed fruity gums can be tricky too. They taste sweet initially, but once the flavor fades, my cravings actually spike. Mint gums seem to work better for me—maybe because they're less candy-like? Just my experience though...

Mint gums do seem to help me too, probably because they're not as sugary-sweet. I remember when I first got braces, my orthodontist advised sticking to sugar-free gum—said it helps keep saliva going and protects teeth better. Fruity gum always seemed tempting but never quite worked out for me either. Have you tried any sugar-free fruity gums? Wonder if they trigger cravings the same way...

Mint gums have always been my go-to as well, mostly because fruity gums just never felt right after a while. I did try sugar-free fruity gums a couple of times, thinking they'd be a nice change from mint. Honestly, they weren't terrible taste-wise, but I noticed something weird—after chewing them, I'd start craving actual sweets more often. Maybe it's psychological or something, like my brain expects sugar when it tastes fruit flavors?

Funny enough, when I first got braces (years ago now), my orthodontist also recommended sugar-free gum to help with saliva and all that. Being budget-conscious though, I remember standing in the grocery aisle comparing prices and ingredients for ages. Mint flavors were always cheaper and easier to find in bulk packs, so I stuck with those. Fruity ones seemed pricier for some reason...maybe because they're marketed as more "fun" or something?

Anyway, I ended up sticking with mint gum long-term because it felt cleaner somehow—like it actually freshened my breath instead of just masking it with sweetness. Plus, mint never really triggered cravings for me the way fruity flavors did. But everyone's different, so maybe it's just me.

Has anyone else noticed that fruity flavors—even sugar-free ones—tend to make you crave sweets more? Or is it just my weird brain playing tricks on me again...
