Funny you mention texture—I switched to gel thinking it'd be gentler, but ended up scrubbing even harder because it felt too slippery. Felt like I was chasing toothpaste around my mouth...back to paste for me, lesson learned.

Ha, relatable...but honestly, gel just takes some getting used to. I switched purely for budget reasons (found a killer deal), and after a week or so, the slipperiness wasn't an issue anymore. Maybe give it another shot?

I had a similar experience when my dentist recommended switching to gel toothpaste due to sensitivity issues. At first, it felt awkward and slippery, but after a few days, I adjusted my brushing technique slightly—using less water on the brush helped a lot. Now it's second nature, and honestly, my teeth feel cleaner than before. Might be worth experimenting with your brushing method before giving up entirely...

Had the same issue when my kid switched to gel toothpaste—he complained it felt slimy at first. We found that using just a tiny dab and brushing gently without soaking the brush made a huge difference. Now he actually prefers it... go figure.

We had a similar experience, but weirdly enough, my daughter actually liked the slimy feel right away... kids are strange sometimes, huh? Did you notice any difference in how clean their teeth felt afterward? I found gel toothpaste seems to rinse off easier, so there's less residue left behind. Took me a while to get used to it myself, though—still prefer paste personally, but hey, whatever gets them brushing regularly is fine by me.
