Yeah, I get the worry about bacteria too. I tried just soap and water for a while, but honestly, I kept imagining stuff hiding in the little crevices. Ended up switching to tablets every couple days—maybe it’s overkill, but it helps my peace of mind. Those silicone brushes feel weirdly gentle though... almost too gentle? Like, are they even cleaning anything?

Totally get where you’re coming from—peace of mind is a big deal, especially when it comes to something you wear every day. I went through a similar phase, just worrying about what might be lurking in the tiny spots I couldn’t see or reach. The tablets gave me that extra reassurance, even if it felt like maybe I was being a bit obsessive.

About those silicone brushes… yeah, they’re almost too soft? I kept wondering if they were actually doing anything or just sliding over the surface. I ended up using a regular soft toothbrush most days and saving the silicone one for when my gums felt sensitive. It’s all trial and error, honestly. If the tablets help you feel better about it, I don’t think it’s overkill at all. Sometimes just knowing you’ve done everything you can makes a huge difference in how you feel day to day.

Totally relate to this. I tried those silicone brushes too and honestly, it felt like I was just giving my dentures a gentle massage instead of a real clean. Tablets are my go-to for that “just in case” factor—like, if there’s something hiding in a nook, at least I know the fizzies got it. Regular toothbrush still wins for me most days though. It’s funny how much trial and error goes into something so basic, right?

I totally get the worry about whether those silicone brushes are actually doing anything. I tried one after my first week with dentures and honestly, I kept thinking, “Is this thing just petting my teeth?” It’s like using a feather duster on a muddy boot—nice in theory, but not super convincing. I still use the tablets at night, mostly for peace of mind. But during the day, I stick with a regular soft brush. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I want to feel like I’m actually scrubbing something off, not just...gently encouraging it to leave.

That cracked me up, and honestly, I get what you mean. I tried one of those silicone brushes for a while and just didn’t trust it to get the gunk off. I’m the same way—soft brush in the morning, then let the tablets do their thing overnight. I figure if there’s any stubborn stuff, soaking should handle it. Ever notice if your dentures feel fresher after a soak vs. just brushing? Sometimes I think it’s all in my head...
