I get what you mean about the sonic cleaners just sitting there if they’re not plugged in, but honestly, I kinda love mine.

“if I don’t keep it plugged in, it just gathers dust.”
For me, it’s the only thing that actually gets the gunk out of those tiny crevices—even if I have to remember to plug it in (which, yeah, doesn’t always happen). The phone reminder thing is smart, but I always end up ignoring mine after a while… Maybe I’m just stubborn, but I swear my dentures feel cleaner with the regular tablets over the natural ones. The taste is weird, but I’ll take that over any weird smells.

I totally get the thing with regular tablets feeling cleaner, but I actually had the opposite experience. I switched to the natural ones after my dentist mentioned them, and at first, yeah, the taste was off. But after a couple weeks, I stopped noticing it and my mouth didn’t feel as dry in the mornings. Maybe it’s just me? I do agree about the sonic cleaners, though—mine’s only useful if I remember to use it. Sometimes I just stick with a good old toothbrush and a rinse when I’m running late.

I know what you mean about the taste—my kid hated the first few days with the “natural” tablets too, but now they don’t complain. I’m actually a little nervous about skipping the cleaning routine, though.

Do you ever worry that just brushing isn’t enough? I always picture germs hanging around if we miss a step. Maybe I’m just overthinking it... but it stresses me out if we’re in a rush before school.

I get that worry—sometimes I’ll just do a quick brush and rinse too, especially if I’m tired or running late. But yeah, I do wonder if it’s enough. My dentist once said it’s the soaking that really helps with the germs, but honestly, life happens. I try not to beat myself up over missing a step now and then... as long as it’s not every day, right?

That’s pretty much how it goes for me too—I’ll be half-asleep and just do a quick rinse, then feel guilty the next morning. I keep telling myself as long as I’m mostly consistent, it’s not the end of the world. Does anyone else notice their dentures get that weird smell faster if they skip soaking a couple nights? Or is it just in my head?
