That’s actually really interesting to hear—my aunt swears by her ultrasonic cleaner too, but I always wondered if it was just another gadget collecting dust after a few weeks. The way you described it, especially with the gunk in the tricky spots, makes a lot of sense. I’ve had days where my hands just don’t cooperate, and brushing every little crevice feels impossible. Might be time to give one a shot... can’t hurt to make life a bit easier, right?

I get what you mean about the ultrasonic cleaners, but I’ve actually found a simple soak with effervescent tablets works just as well for me most days. Less fuss, no cords or extra cleaning gadgets cluttering up the bathroom.

I hear you on that. On those rough days, I just let the tablets do their thing and rinse after. Not perfect, but it keeps things manageable. Sometimes low-tech wins, especially when you’re already juggling a bunch of stuff.

That makes sense, but I always worry about whether just soaking is enough to get rid of bacteria and buildup. Have you ever noticed any staining or odors if you skip brushing for a few days? I know some folks say the tablets handle it, but I’m never sure if that’s really true long term.

I totally get what you mean about being unsure if soaking alone is enough. I tried relying just on those effervescent tablets for a week when I was super busy, and honestly, I did start to notice a bit of a weird smell—not terrible, but definitely not “fresh.” No major stains, but there was this slight film that brushing usually gets rid of. Maybe the tablets help with bacteria, but I feel like they don’t tackle the buildup as well as a quick brush does. Still, it’s better than nothing if you’re swamped.

That’s interesting—I’ve noticed the same thing with the film, like it just doesn’t feel as clean without a quick brush. Have you ever tried those little denture brushes they sell, or do you just use a regular toothbrush? I’m curious if there’s actually a big difference.
