Sometimes just having a routine makes all the difference.

That really resonates. I feel like once I started sticking to a post-snack brushing routine, it took some of the stress out of eating stuff I used to worry about. Still, I get what you mean about dried fruit—those things are sneaky. Have you ever tried freezing grapes or berries? They’re sweet but not sticky, and somehow feel less risky. I wonder if the anxiety ever fully goes away after dental issues, or if we just get better at managing it...

Freezing grapes is genius, but honestly, I swear my teeth are so sensitive now that even cold fruit feels like punishment sometimes. I’ve tried the whole “routine after snacks” thing, but then I read somewhere that brushing right after acidic stuff can actually make things worse... so now I’m paranoid about timing, too. Maybe the trick isn’t just the routine, but not overthinking every single snack? Easier said than done, though.
